2026 Instrumentation Technician Internship

We are looking for an Instrumentation Intern to join our BASF team in Geismar, LA. Come create chemistry with us! Program

Summary:

As a highly motivated student or recent graduate in the areas of industrial instrumentation technology or instrument & control systems technology, you will participate in an Instrumentation Internship program at BASF's Geismar site: 37269 Highway 30, Geismar LA, 70734. This internship will allow opportunity to gain valuable, hands-on experience Utilizing your experience in your area of study, you will help complete various Instrument Technician activities which will provide the opportunity to further develop both technical and professional skills.

Interns will have the opportunity to work a 4/10 schedule for 3-4 months while following a BASF Instrument Technician. Successful candidates will be employed though a 3rd party contractor for the length of the Internship. Interns who complete BASF's Instrumentation Internship Program may be considered as candidates for upcoming open full-time positions at the site.

Formula for Success:
Current student in the last semester of a program or recently graduated with a degree in one of the following areas:
Industrial Instrumentation Technology Instrument & Control Systems Technology Academic achievement (minimum GPA 3.0) with letter of recommendation from professor Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions Excellent written and oral communication skills Outstanding work ethic
