Designer, Engineering Design & Technologists, CAD​/ AutoCAD​/ Mechanical Design

Responsibilities

• Designs components or portions of systems and modifies existing designs to develop or improve products and facilitate manufacturing operations
• Utilizes computer-aided design equipment and/or graphic tools such as CAD, CAM or CATIA
• Gathers information, makes studies, computes calculations, and prepares original rough layouts, sketches to present design proposal
• Coordinates design criteria with engineering, manufacturing, tooling, material, and planning group such as ease of manufacture, availability of materials, and contractual specifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 10 years of experience
  -or
  - Associates Degree or other 2 year technical degree in related discipline and 6 years experience
• Proficient in electrical and cableway design modeling and drawing extraction
• Experience in developing and reviewing electrical products to ensure compliance with design standards and integration requirements
• Strong understanding of electrical system layout principles
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly and effectively in both written and verbal formats
