Regulatory Compliance Specialist, Environmental Compliance

Job Summary/Purpose
Entry-to-mid-level professional who supports field safety observations, compliance documentation, and SMS implementation under the guidance of the Aviation Safety & Governance Manager. Provides foundational aviation safety oversight, assisting with contractor monitoring, hazard identification, and regulatory compliance across diverse aviation operations.
Responsibilities- Conduct field observations of aviation activities (helicopters, UAS, fixed‑wing, vegetation management).
- Identify deviations and hazards during field operations.
- Monitor contractor personnel for qualifications, equipment readiness, and safety briefing adherence.
- Support landing zone (LZ) setup, congested area plan (CAP) verification, and site readiness assessments.
- Contribute to safety briefings and tail board talks.
- Collaborate effectively with contractors, pilots, and safety leadership.
- Ensure accuracy in reports, checklists, and compliance tracking.
- Maintain consistent presence and follow‑through on assignments.
- Work in varied environmental conditions, outdoors.
- Maintain flexibility to support changing project schedules.
- Physical ability to carry safety equipment, work outdoors, and remain comfortable in high operational tempo and noise environments.
- High School Diploma required;
Associate degree preferred. - Equivalent time or experience in utility field or military aviation of 2+ years.
- Basic knowledge of FAA regulations Part 133.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Field operations experience (50% exposure).
