Location: Chase
This Engineer Intern Applicant position assists the Engineer 6 and Engineer 7 with managing the District’s Bridge Inspection and Maintenance Program in Chase, Louisiana. The role involves inspecting and maintaining fixed and movable bridges and dam structures, checking inspection reports, designing retrofits, overseeing contractor work, and drafting plans for facility projects. This is a temporary position requiring a Louisiana Engineer Intern Certificate, with opportunity to advance within the engineering career progression group.
Keyqualifications
- Eligibility for a Louisiana Engineer Intern Certificate
- Experience with bridge inspection and maintenance operations
- Ability to design retrofits and bridge repairs
- Knowledge of bridge and facility project management
- Technical capability to review and recommend changes to engineering plans and specifications
