Job Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee structural design projects from initial concept to completion
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and client communication
- Coordinate with architects, contractors, and engineering teams (Civil and MEPT)
- Assist with geotechnical coordination and foundation design
- Design structural elements using steel, concrete, masonry, and wood materials
- Prepare design documents and review shop drawings
- Conduct construction site visits and respond to RFIs/ITCs
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance
- Ensure designs comply with applicable codes and standards
- Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or related field (Master’s degree a plus)
- PE licensure in Iowa, Wisconsin, or both
- Strong background in structural engineering design and project management
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Bluebeam, and structural analysis software (RISA, Ener Calc)
- Experience with steel, concrete, masonry, wood, and foundation systems
- Strong skills in code review, structural design, and project management
- Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working in-office and on-site as needed
