Around 80 percent of all microchips worldwide are produced using ZEISS technologies. With high-precision lithography optics, photomask systems and process control solutions, ZEISS enables the production of ever smaller, increasingly powerful, and more energy-efficient microchips, and thus plays a pivotal role in the age of micro- and this role, within the area of Smart Maintenance, you will independently ensure cost-efficient availability of more than 700 production machines across two sites in Wetzlar .
You drive maintenance projects, coordinate all relevant activities and strategically develop our processes further. In doing so, you work in close collaboration with the 20-member team at our headquarters in Oberkochen .Does this sound like your next challenge? We look forward to receiving your application!
Your Role Act as a central interface between Production and Maintenance, as well as between the Oberkochen and Wetzlar sites, ensuring a consistent, cross-site maintenance approach
Take responsibility for designing and implementing an efficient, proactive maintenance strategy to ensure the availability and stability of the machinery and equipment
Coordinate and manage internal and external service providers for maintenance activities, from planning through to performance and quality control
Structure and organize the growing machinery and equipment base with a focus on maintenance requirements, including alignment on the requirements of existing and new machines (cost–benefit optimization)
Introduce and use key performance indicators and structured reporting (e.g. availability, downtime, costs) to manage and continuously improve the maintenance organization
Prepare and communicate complex technical and organizational topics to different stakeholder groups and take a leading role in cross-functional teams, workshops and change initiatives
Use all relevant information sources (e.g. machine data, service reports, feedback from production) to derive concrete actions in close, cross-site collaboration
Your ProfileA successfully completed technical university degree in production engineering or another engineering discipline; ideally, you have a qualification in maintenance management (e.g. from TÜV Academy) or a comparable further education
Solid professional experience in a production environment, preferably in industrial high-tech maintenance; experience with precision machinery and optical manufacturing in clean rooms (up to ISO Class
5) is an advantage
Proven experience at the interface between Production and Maintenance, as well as in cross-site collaboration and harmonization of processes and standards
Practical experience in managing technical service providers and in developing, implementing and using KPIs to analyze and optimize maintenance processes
Strong ability to structure complex technical and organizational topics and to communicate them clearly, understandably and tailored to different audiences
High level of personal responsibility, assertiveness and commitment, combined with a pragmatic, solution-oriented working style, strong facilitation skills, team orientation and the ability to take a leading role without direct line management responsibility
Willingness to travel between Oberkochen (around once a month) and the Wetzlar sites, as well as very good German and good English skills, both spoken and written
