What You ll Do

  • Design and evaluate electrical and mechanical building systems for commercial, industrial, institutional, municipal, and public infrastructure projects.
  • Prepare engineering calculations, construction drawings, specifications, technical reports, equipment schedules, cost estimates, and permit documentation.
  • Perform field investigations, existing-condition assessments, and support renovation and new construction projects.
  • Coordinate with architects, contractors, utility providers, project managers, and multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout all phases of a project.
  • Review shop drawings, contractor submittals, and Requests for Information (RFIs), while providing construction administration and commissioning support.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring quality, schedule, and budget objectives are met.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships while assisting with proposal preparation and business development efforts.
What We re Looking For
  • Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Five (5) to seven (7) years of experience designing electrical or mechanical building systems within a consulting engineering environment.
  • Experience working on commercial, industrial, institutional, municipal, or public infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of applicable building codes, engineering standards, and construction practices.
  • Experience preparing construction documents, specifications, and engineering calculations.
  • Proficiency with engineering design software and Microsoft Office applications. Experience with AutoCAD and Revit is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred. Candidates actively pursuing licensure will also be considered.
