CAD Drafter

Job Summary

Generally responsible for lending CAD support and completing CAD assignments for various disciplines and offices. This work will be performed under direct supervision.

• Reviewing and comprehending drawings from various disciplines before initiating drafting effort on any specific item.
• Understanding project scope, specifications and design criteria upon assignment.
• Interpreting redline instructions reflected on marked up drawings.
• Draft plans from various disciplines using design and drafting standards under direct supervision.
• Develop cross divisional relationships, and provide HELIX support under direct supervision.

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Associate degree in Engineering Technology or Computer-Aided Drafting is preferred.

Certification is not required at this level.

This position requires up to 2 years of relevant industrial experience in drafting and design or related coursework.

• Working knowledge of CAD software, either AutoCAD, Microstation or both.
• Knowledge and application of CAD drafting standards.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.

Ability to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time.
