Position Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and results driven Project Manager to lead Petrotech Inc.'s complex turbo machinery control projects. In this key role, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of turnkey control system projects by coordinating technical execution, managing customer relationships, and driving project profitability. Your technical expertise, leadership skills, and ability to navigate commercial and technical challenges will be essential in maintaining our reputation for delivering high quality solutions and achieving a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and oversee comprehensive project plans, ensuring technical specifications and contractual commitments are met.
  • Lead project execution, including scheduling, delivery, and payment management.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers, fostering strong relationships and ensuring clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare and manage change orders, control project scope, and ensure on time delivery.
  • Collaborate with Finance to manage cash flow and maintain project profitability.
  • Conduct critical path analysis, track schedule variances, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Monitor project costs and performance metrics, and initiate corrective measures to keep projects within scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, fabricators, and customer teams to resolve technical, scheduling, and commercial issues.
  • Contribute actively to the Quality Improvement Process to enhance project execution standards.
Education And Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related technical field. PMP or PMI certification is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in control system engineering and project management within the industrial automation sector.
  • Proven success managing complex projects involving control system design and build and startup activities.
Technical Skills
  • Deep understanding of control system design, including control panels, instrumentation, PLC/DCS/HMI programming, testing, and field commissioning.
  • Ability to analyze project schedules, costs, and technical issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interface effectively with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
Soft Skills
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem solving capabilities.
  • Adaptable to changing project demands with a proactive approach to risk management.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate project team members, including technical staff, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally, typically less than 15% of the time.
  • Willingness to visit customer sites, suppliers, and industrial facilities as required.
Working Conditions
  • Primarily office based with occasional onsite visits to customer locations.
  • Fast paced environment requiring multitasking and effective time management.
