Duties
Coordinate hydrographic reconnaissance surveys of waterways to obtain accurate data and evaluate current waterway conditions.
Distribute and adjust daily field assignments for subordinate survey team members based on shifting project priorities and navigational deadlines.
Monitor project expenditures for vessel repairs/maintenance, labor, and supplies to ensure operations remain within allocated funding limits.
Review field reports and survey plots generated by team members to verify technical accuracy and compliance with district engineering standards.
Analyze hydrographic survey data to determine controlling depths, predict shoaling patterns and recommend dredging requirements.
