Specialty Cashier, Cage; Caesars Orleans

Job Description

The Specialty Cashier services the Table Games and Slot Departments, front line chip, coin, and JPH windows along with preparing the daily currency, coin, check, and marker deposits.

• Operates assigned bank (marker, chip, and satellite) according to procedure. Verifies and counts down bank at the end of each shift and reconciles to the Cage accountability.
• Assigns window banks to Casino Cashiers and assists in troubleshooting cashier variances or reconciliation.
• Assists in training and development of cashiers in window bank or specialty bank functions.
• Handles window bank coverage when scheduling needs arise.
• Fosters team environment and takes a leadership role in departmental initiatives.
• Presents oneself as a credit to Caesars and encourages others to do the same.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of one‑year experience as a Casino Cashier working specialty banks or general cashiering background from another casino.
• Experience working with business machines and prior money handling experience is necessary.
• Computer skills required.
• Attention to detail and good organizational skills required. Must be able to get along with co‑workers and work as a team.
• Must present a well‑groomed appearance.

• Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the casino.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
• Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip items while working at assigned desk areas.
• Must have the manual dexterity and coordination to operate office equipment, including a 10‑key adding machine, PC computers, fax machine and photocopier.
• Must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
• Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke.
