Job SummaryDealer in Training performs all aspects of dealing assigned games while maintaining the highest standards in customer service and assists in tracking play and game observation.
Responsibilities- Demonstrate effective working knowledge of dealing policies and gaming procedures.
- Communicate all pertinent information to supervisors.
- Effectively handle casino gaming checks.
- Create an opportunity for fun and excitement by being friendly, supportive and enthusiastic toward guests.
- Adhere to Caesars appearance standards.
- Accept demanding scheduling needs positively.
- Present oneself as a credit to Caesars and encourage others to do the same.
- Meet attendance guidelines and adhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Pass basic math test and Caesars audition demonstrating adequate gaming skills.
- Proficiently deal a minimum of one major game and have at least one year of previous dealing experience.
- Excellent employee and customer service skills.
- Ability to work as a team and maintain a well‑groomed appearance.
- Maneuver to all areas of the casino, including the assigned Pit area during the entire shift.
- Bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip items as necessary.
- Stand for 2–3 hour increments.
- Respond calmly and make rational decisions when handling guests’ demands in a fast‑paced environment.
- Tolerate secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dust.
- Read, verify and sign documents related to the game in a small area.
- Perform mathematical computations accurately when determining winners/losers and collecting/paying out bets.
- Maintain good manual dexterity for quick and accurate handling of chips, cards and money.
- Accurately balance chip bank at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Have adequate vision (including peripheral).
- Work at a fast pace and in stressful situations.
- Read, write, speak and understand English; respond to visual and aural cues.
