Location: Iowa
Overview
The Ticket Writer processes transactions of betting slips in accordance with governing regulations. Transactions include selling or cashing tickets, making change, cashing checks, and redeeming tickets.
Responsibilities- Ensures compliance with federal currency transaction reporting requirements.
- Verifies and balances drawer funds at the beginning and end of the shift. Safeguards funds.
- Collects the appropriate amount of money from guests for wagers and makes the correct change.
- Removes, records, and turns in the cash at the end of the shift with all necessary paperwork.
- High school diploma or GED and 2 years of casino experience. Previous money handling experience preferred. Strong people skills.
