Esports Organized Play Manager, IBIT

As Program Manager II
, you will be part of the Organized Play team, embedded in the Competitive Operations function. This role is overseeing the IBIT region with a priority on Spain and is based in Barcelona. You will build relationships with tournament organizers for amateur competitive events across schools, universities, not‑for‑profit events and one‑off grassroots tournaments; whether online or offline.

You will cover the entire Riot Games portfolio. The prioritization of games will evolve dynamically based on market and product needs. You'll oversee local amateur tournament events and work with third parties to provide a fantastic player experience. You will report to Sr. Manager Competitive Operations based in Berlin.

• Oversee our local competitive amateur experience ecosystem striving for sustainability, inclusivity and a high level of participation.
• Manage local Competitive Experience products in collaboration with partners and vendors and track participation.
• Manage local tournament licensing requests and support tournament organizers accordingly.
• Manage/Build long‑term relationships with partners / tournament organizers for amateur events to ensure the development of competitions and increase participation.
• Cultivate Riot relationships with developing local esports teams.
• When needed, develop local brands partnerships to support local Competitive Experience tournaments and events.
• In collaboration with regional brand managers, develop bespoke Organized Play activations that support Publishing beats.
• Lead delivery regional and global activations in local markets.
• Ensure internal alignment on all of the above with our EMEA Publishing and Esports offices.

• 3+ years of experience in competitive product management.
• Experience with designing organized play ecosystems that contribute directly to the growth and sustainability of games and their communities.
• Understanding of how to build long-term vendor and partner relationships that dynamically evolve with market needs.
• Experience in project management and execution of offline and online marketing activations.
• Equipped to collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders and support them towards shared objectives.
• Ability to think strategically, in order to work at scale across a broad portfolio of products and competitions.
• Knowledge of Spanish gaming and esports scenes.
• Fluency (spoken and written) in both Spanish and English is required for this role.

• Knowledge of the Italian and Portuguese gaming and competitive scene.
• Fluency in Italian and/or Portuguese.
• Experience in online / offline event production management.
