Live Sports Data Analyst

Apex Logic Lab is hiring a Live Sports Data Analyst on a contract basis for on-site work in the New Orleans, LA area. In this role, you will attend live sporting events to capture and validate real-time game data, flag anomalies, and work with the data team to strengthen collection processes.

You will focus on accuracy and timing while using company tools and applications to record plays, statistics, and supporting context. The position also involves monitoring game flow and communicating issues to the operations team, especially when technical problems or unexpected inconsistencies appear during live events.

• Attend live sporting events or designated venues to capture real-time game data (plays, statistics, and contextual information) using company tools and applications.
• Monitor game flow throughout the event.
• Enter data with high accuracy and speed.
• Verify entries against established standards.
• Report anomalies or technical issues to the operations team.
• Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to improve data collection processes.
• Participate in training sessions to refine methods.
• Follow strict quality and timing protocols.
• Be available for evening and weekend work aligned with live sports schedules (may be required).

• Strong data collection skills with attention to detail and accuracy in fast-paced, real-time environments.
• Analytical skills to interpret game situations, validate data, and recognize patterns or inconsistencies.
• Clear communication skills to coordinate with team members, report issues, and follow operational guidelines.
• Training and research experience to learn new tools quickly, apply standardized methods, and support process improvements.
• Knowledge of major sports, including rules, terminology, and game flow

• Ability to work on-site in the New Orleans area, including evenings and weekends as available.
• Previous experience in sports statistics, live event operations, or a related data-focused field is beneficial; relevant education in sports management, statistics, or computer science is a plus.

• Base pay: $200 per NBA/NFL/CFB game
• Performance bonus: up to $200
• Hourly rate: $75.00 - $150.00 per hour
• Work location: In person (on-site)
