Financial Controller (CFO Track) – Geismar, LA

We are a privately held, full-service transportation and logistics provider delivering turnkey solutions across complex heavy-haul, crane, and rigging projects throughout North America. With decades of experience, we combine specialized transportation, in-house engineering, and project management capabilities to execute highly technical moves involving oversized or mission-critical equipment.

We are growing and looking for a Financial Controller who can transition into the CFO role within the next 9-18 months.

Geismar, LA

Salary: $170,000 - $210,000 per year

• Lead all accounting operations (GL, AP/AR, payroll, cash)
• Deliver accurate monthly financials within 10 business days
• Maintain clean balance sheet reconciliations and audit-ready books
• Oversee billing, collections, and transaction accuracy
• Enforce internal controls, cash discipline, and process standardization
• Identify inefficiencies and drive automation / improvements
• Ensure accurate job costing, margin visibility, and cost allocation
• Partner with operations on revenue recognition and profitability
• Improve DSO, billing speed, and cash conversion cycle
• Build/own 13-week cash flow forecasting
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and KPI reporting
• Support EBITDA normalization and financial clarity
• Clean, audit-ready financials with minimal adjustments
• Consistent, timely close (10 days or better)
• Improved cash flow, billing, and collections
• Clear KPI visibility and job-level profitability
• Business ready for institutional diligence

• 8–12+ years in accounting/finance (Controller-level)
• Multi‑entity experience ($50M–$150M preferred)
• Strong in job costing environments (construction, logistics, manufacturing, etc.)
• Experience improving processes, controls, and systems
• ERP experience (Net Suite, Dynamics, etc.)

Nice to Have: CPA, MBA, or transaction/QoE exposure
