We are seeking a detail-oriented Manufacturing Accounting Manager to oversee financial operations and cost accounting functions within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, inventory valuation, internal controls, budgeting support, and operational cost analysis. The ideal candidate will bring strong accounting knowledge, analytical skills, and experience working cross-functionally with operations and leadership teams. This is a direct hire opportunity, meaning the right fit candidate will go directly onto the hiring company’s payroll and be eligible for their robust benefits package.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee plant-level financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and timely completion of transactions.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy, valuation, and reporting processes.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and monthly financial reporting.
  • Partner with operations leadership on cost control initiatives and financial performance.
  • Monitor capital spending and ensure compliance with financial policies and approvals.
  • Coordinate inventory cycle counts and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Manage ERP system data, including bills of materials (BOMs), routings, and item masters.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly operational and financial reports.
  • Support internal controls, SOX compliance, and financial audits.
  • Analyze cost data and maintain plant and cost center cost information.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial systems and reporting processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of accounting or financial management experience.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • ERP system and inventory management experience.
  • Experience with SOX compliance and reporting.
