Financial Analyst - Benson

This job, under moderate supervision, provides analysis to the particular area of the business they support. The role involves analyzing and reporting on monthly financial statements, maintaining databases and other sources of information, supporting strategic projects leveraging financial and analytic capabilities, assisting in the budget process, and responding to ad hoc reporting requests and answering questions from users of the financial reports.

• Required:
  
  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Math, Business Administration, Computer Science or related area
• Preferred:
  Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or other advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• Preferred:
  Experience in financial analysis, forecasting and reporting
• Experience with Fin Thrive Contract Manager and Fin Thrive Modeler preferred
• Experience supporting healthcare contract modeling, rate analysis, or payer reimbursement modeling
• Ability to interpret contract terms and translate them into accurate financial models

• Preferred:
  Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or actively testing for certification

• Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of information, proficiency with Windows-style applications, various office software packages and keyboard
• Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Good judgment and decision-making skills

• Updates and maintains financial information
• Provides reporting and analytics to ensure operational profitability

Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for Sedentary Work. The job may be rated Light Work when it requires walking or standing to a significant degree;

or when it requires sitting most of the time but entails pushing and/or pulling of arm or leg controls; or when it requires working at a production rate pace entailing the constant pushing and/or pulling of materials even though the weight of those materials is negligible. Mechanical lifting devices (carts, dollies, etc.) or team lifts should be utilized. Must be able to stoop, bend, reach and grab with arms and hands, manual dexterity.

Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time. Must be able to travel throughout and between facilities. Must be able to work a flexible work schedule.

Normal routine involves no exposure to blood, body fluid or tissue and incumbents are not called upon to perform or assist in emergency care or first aid. There is no occupational risk for exposure to communicable diseases.
