Private Client Portfolio Manager

Summary:

The Private Client Portfolio Manager serves as one of the bank’s most experienced front‑line client service associates, delivering a high‑quality experience to private banking and wealth clients and prospects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Support Private Banking Relationship Managers (PBRM) by opening new accounts for Private Banking clients.
  • Complete “set‑up” forms for new products and services sold.
  • Leverage knowledge of bank products to make recommendations for clients and prospects.
  • Identify cross‑sell and new deposit opportunities.
  • Interpret legal documents such as court orders, letters testamentary, trust documents, durable power of attorney, bank disclosures, and new account agreements.
  • Enter loan applications and required financial data into the bank’s loan system.
  • Coordinate financial information with PBRM and clients for credit analysis.
  • Download, review, and verify loan documents and coordinate with PBRM.
  • Manage loan closing and funding processes.
  • Provide client service via telephone, email, and in‑person requests.
  • Research and resolve client issues, acting as liaison with other departments.
  • Follow up with clients to ensure resolution.
  • Develop and maintain long‑term relationships with clients.
  • Provide backup to PBRM when needed.
  • Participate as a private banking team member to achieve private banking goals and objectives.
  • Support PBRM with marketing plans and objectives.
  • Assist PBRM in mining commercial portfolios for prospects and cross‑sell opportunities.
  • Assist with Salesforce reporting, pipeline management, and meeting agendas.
  • Participate in training classes to maintain and acquire additional job knowledge and skills.
  • Comply with all department and company policies, procedures, and banking regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Capacity to multi‑task and work independently.
  • Familiarity with a variety of account ownerships (personal and business).
Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree from a four‑year college or university; or three years of related experience and/or training; or a combination of education and experience.

Computer and Software Skills
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Mail.
  • Knowledge of IBS, Image Now, Salesforce, FIS, and Finzly Wires.
Certificates, Licenses and Registrations
  • National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration under the terms of all appropriate regulations.
  • Notary.
