Position Summary

A Loan Operations Clerk works closely with lending team and compliance personnel regarding rules and regulations affecting the lending activities. They are responsible for maintaining strong relationships with customers and Loan Staff. Assists branch team in meeting its goals and objectives through effective teamwork and cooperation.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Two to five years related banking experience
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts (fractions, percentages & ratios)
  • Knowledge of computer and software application
  • Knowledge of ten-key number pad
  • Ability to work under time constraints, use good judgment, and act in a tactful, professional, non-irritated manner while dealing with the public and co-workers
  • Must have a professional appearance and manner
  • Effectively communicates using verbal, non-verbal, and written skills
  • Ability to work alongside co-workers in a team environment

Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance:

Work Environment

Typical Duties
  • TRAK new loans for exception/waiver and documentation verification
  • TRAK support documentation as it comes in from branches
  • Print Daily New Accounts Report and check off new loans as they come in
  • Check all new loans for policy and documentation compliance
  • Scan and index loan support documentation
  • Daily Balancing
  • Daily and Monthly BillPointe reports processing
  • Email Weekly Exception and Waived Status Reports to staff
  • Remove Cancelled Mortgages from Re-inscription list
  • Balance credit life insurance
  • Post Credit Card payments
  • Process returned mail (send a change of address form)
  • Knowledge of loan documentation requirements
  • Post Review loans < $250k to ensure a perfected lien
  • Ensures loans and processes meet compliance and regulatory standards
  • Completes quality checks of loan checklist, document deficiencies, resolves exceptions with Loan Officers
  • Performs due diligence to ensure loan documents are provided in accordance to the Loan Approval Memo
  • Responsible for processing loan maintenance requests including Change in Terms, Extensions, Loan Reversals, Automatic Transfers, etc.
  • Add collection letter fees to loans when needed
  • When necessary, assists with reports and audits in the evaluation of loan operations performance
  • Complete, process and maintain applicable paperwork and records
  • Assist customers and Loan Staff by answering questions and responding to requests
  • Scanning, filing and Indexing
  • Print paid loan report, request approval for release of collateral
  • Mail paid loan documents and released collateral to customers
  • Review of denied and withdrawn applications for correct documentation
  • Updating the Credit Report Tracking Log
  • Review/Verify daily Maintenance Log reports from Aquire
  • Participation loan draws and payments
  • UPF/title processing for consumer transactions
  • Assist with training of Loan Staff
  • Maintains customer confidence by keeping account information confidential
  • Maintain compliance with bank policies, procedures, and operational integrity
  • Adhere to both internal and external audit requirements
  • Other job related duties and special duties as assigned
