Financial Leadership Position
Provide financial leadership for a growing manufacturing company. Lead company accounting, reporting, financial planning, cost accounting, and budget management functions. Ensure company accounting procedures conform to generally accepted accounting principles. This is a hands-on role to develop systems supporting a dynamic and innovative business environment.
Duties And Responsibilities:- Direct and coordinate company financial planning and budget management functions.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and inventory flow reports.
- Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget.
- Direct and coordinate debt financing and debt service payments with external agencies.
- Oversee and complete daily operations of the accounting department.
- Prepare Year End financial statements.
- Coordinate annual tax preparation with outside CPA firm.
- Establish and implement short-and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.
- Design, establish, and maintain an organizational structure and staffing to effectively accomplish the department's goals and objectives.
- Direct financial audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements.
- Responsible for banking transactions.
- Financial analysis for business decisions.
- ERP process improvements.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills:
Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems. Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations. Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections. Working knowledge of short- and long-term budgeting and forecasting, rolling budgets, and product-line profitability analysis.
Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight time frames and simultaneously manage several projects. Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule.
Work Experience:- Bachelor's or master's degree in tax, accounting, or finance
- Minimum 5-10 years' experience in accounting/finance
- Experience with financial reporting requirements
- Experience in working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas
This is a hands-on position, and the individual must be physically capable of safely operating a variety office equipment to accomplish the duties and responsibilities as outlined above. This position may require heavy lifting and moving up to and possibly more than 50 pounds repeatedly as well as working in hazardous conditions, such as around chemicals and machinery. The individual must have the ability to provide flexible working hours when necessary and may have to work early morning, late evenings, nights, or weekends.
