Job SummaryAs a Junior Customer Service Officer
, you will participate in a structured six-month rotational on-the-job training program across model and operational branches to gain comprehensive knowledge of our operational policies and procedures. Reporting to the respective Branch, Business, or Operation Managers
, you will contribute to the bank’s success by serving customers, driving resource mobilization, and supporting back-office operations. Successful completion of the 6-month training program positions you for promotion to Customer Service Officer.
- Customer Service & Account Operations:
Attending to customers at the counter, opening new accounts, processing passbooks/cheque books, and managing account registers. - Sales & Business Development:
Promoting and selling bank products, services, and alternative channels while recruiting new customers and generating sales leads. - Relationship & Agent Management:
Building and maintaining strong relationships with merchants, agents, and branch clients. - Transaction Processing & Back-Office Support:
Handling cheque deposits, filing bank documents, and assisting the Customer Service Officer I. - Financial Reconciliation:
Reconciling daily ATM, POS, and merchant account transactions, balancing branch books, and settling suspense accounts in a timely manner. - Compliance & Resource Mobilization:
Adhering strictly to branch banking procedures and NBE directives (e.g., handling returned cheques) while participating in resource mobilization activities.
- Education:
First Degree in Business Administration and information system (BAIS) is advantageous and First Degree in Accounting, Management, Finance, Economics, Banking & Finance, or related fields with training or certification in MIS, IT or related. - Experience:
No prior experience required (entry-level role).
- Basic understanding of banking operations
