Credit Control Associate

The Credit Control Associate is a contract, on-site role based in New Orleans, LA. This role is responsible for monitoring customer accounts, tracking outstanding balances, and ensuring timely collection of premiums and other receivables. The Credit Control Associate will review credit risk, reconcile account discrepancies, and follow up with brokers, clients, and internal teams to resolve payment issues. Daily tasks include maintaining accurate records, preparing aging reports, assisting with cash application, and supporting month-end and quarterly reporting requirements.

The role also involves collaborating with finance, underwriting, and operations teams to improve credit control processes and support strong customer relationships.

• Strong skills in credit control, accounts receivable management, and basic accounting principles.
• Proficiency with spreadsheets, financial systems, and data entry; comfort working with reports and numerical information.
• Effective communication and customer service skills for working with internal stakeholders, brokers, and clients.
• Attention to detail, organization, and time management skills to handle multiple accounts and deadlines.
• Ability to analyze account information, identify issues, and support sound credit and collections decisions.
• Experience in insurance, financial services, or a related industry is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or accounting is an advantage.
• Capability to work on-site in New Orleans, LA and collaborate in a team-oriented environment.
