Commercial Relationship Manager

Summary

The Commercial Relationship Manager is responsible for supporting the Commercial Lender in managing and servicing commercial banking relationships. This position serves as an important point of contact for both customers and internal bank partners and helps ensure that deposit accounts, loans, and other banking needs are handled accurately, efficiently, and with a high level of customer service.

The Commercial Relationship Manager works closely with a Commercial Lender throughout the life cycle of a customer relationship from account opening and loan closing through ongoing portfolio management and servicing.

Location:

It is strongly preferred for the candidate to be in a location within the company's footprint with an emphasis on locations in Louisiana that include and is not limited to the Greater New Orleans area.

• Open new commercial deposit accounts and assist customers with related banking services.
• Perform ongoing customer account maintenance and respond to customer service requests.
• Serve as a point of contact for commercial customers and help resolve account and loan-related questions or issues.
• Coordinate with internal bank departments to ensure customer needs are addressed promptly and accurately.
• Assist Commercial Lender with the ongoing management of customer relationships.
• Assist with the day-to-day management and servicing of an assigned commercial loan portfolio.
• Monitor upcoming loan maturities, renewals, documentation requirements, and other portfolio-related deadlines.
• Assist with past-due loan monitoring and communicate with customers regarding delinquent payments when appropriate.
• Monitor property tax requirements and follow up on past-due or missing property tax payments.
• Monitor insurance requirements and follow up with customers, agents, and other parties regarding missing, expired, or insufficient insurance coverage.
• Maintain accurate loan and customer records and assist with obtaining outstanding documentation.
• Work closely with the Loan Portfolio Manager and coordinate as needed with title companies, attorneys, customers, lenders, and internal loan operations personnel to facilitate timely commercial loan closings.
• Coordinate the collection and delivery of required closing documents.
• Track outstanding closing items and communicate with all parties to help ensure loans close accurately and on schedule.
• Assist with post-closing documentation and outstanding items as needed.
• Coordinate and process construction loan draw requests.
• Collect and review draw documentation for completeness and compliance with loan requirements.
• Communicate with borrowers, contractors, inspectors, title companies, and internal bank personnel regarding construction draws.
• Track construction loan activity, including available funds, project progress, inspections, and supporting documentation.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned, based on management's discretion and evolving business needs.

• High school diploma or equivalent required;
  Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Communications, or a related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
