Elayn Hunt Correctional Center is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Human Resources Analyst to support critical personnel and payroll functions within a fast-paced correctional environment. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate employee administration, compliance with Civil Service and departmental policies, and high-quality service to staff across the facility. - Three years of human resources experience; OR
- Six years of full-time experience in any field; OR
- A bachelor’s degree.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION: Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field. Job Duties:- Processes the full range of personnel and payroll actions needed to complete appointments, merit increases, promotions, transfers, separations, etc.
- Provides general, basic explanation of employee benefit programs and advises employees of various options available under some programs. Reviews benefits documents for accuracy and completeness; forwards to appropriate office.
- Reviews files on a routine basis to ensure that current descriptions are maintained for all positions.
- Provides assistance to agency personnel on routine or limited Civil Service rules, Federal and State laws, and department policies and procedures in assigned areas.
- Schedules employees for required training courses. Monitors and maintains records of completed course work.
- This position is a ‘when actually employed’ (WAE) position without benefits.
