CGS Federal (Contact Government Services) is seeking a Senior FOIA Analyst to support a large federal agency's legal mission. The role involves processing FOIA requests, creating correspondence, and managing negotiations related to records release.

Base salary: $84,177.60 - $ per year

Responsibilities

Review and analyze FOIA requests

Prepare FOIA request folders and enter data into tracking databases

Draft response letters and correspondence

Negotiate and communicate with requesters, agencies, and contractors

Coordinate document searches and identify duplicates

Review records for responsiveness and exemptions

Qualifications

At least three years of experience processing FOIA requests

Knowledge of FOIA rules and exemptions (b(4), b(5), b(6))

Experience redacting sensitive information

Excellent communication skills

Ability to work independently

Ability to obtain a security clearance

Preferred Skills

Federal government experience
Experience with FOIA tools like FOIA EXPRESS and Secure Release
Active security clearance
