Location: New Orleans
Highly responsible administrative work in assisting the director in coordinating the city’s emergency management plans relative to (1) emergency logistics, (2) emergency planning, (3) emergency operations and training, and (4) emergency communications and information technology. Work includes coordination of processes required in the operation and implementation of the City’s emergency management plans.
An incumbent in this class may be assigned a variety of functions related to emergency services planning, development, resource identification, inter‑agency response management, incident assessment, public education, and development and training of City employees and volunteers in preparation for disaster response and related work as required.
QualificationsNOTE: Additional emergency preparedness experience may be substituted for the required Bachelor’s degree on a year‑for‑year basis at the rate of one (1) year of experience equals thirty (30) semester hours of college credits.
