About This Job:
The mission of the Louisiana Department of Health is to protect and promote health and to ensure access to medical, preventive, and rehabilitative services for all residents of the State of Louisiana.
- Provide resource coordination and support to participants to facilitate successful tenancy.
- Ensure all documentation needed to secure housing and other community resources is completed timely.
- Identify and address housing availability and barriers, and perform duties required for annual recertification and housing inspection processes.
- Coordinate resources with state agencies and community organizations to streamline access to services.
- Contribute to the development of policies and procedures that improve the availability and coordination of resources, ensuring long-term independence for participants.
- Five years of experience in developing, managing, or evaluating health or social service programs; or in public health, public relations, social services, health services, health regulation, or administrative services.
- Six years of full‑time work experience in any field plus two years of experience in developing, managing, or evaluating health or social service programs; or in public health, public relations, social services, health services, health regulation, or administrative services.
- A bachelor's degree plus two years of experience in developing, managing, or evaluating health or social service programs; or in public health, public relations, social services, health services, health regulation, or administrative services.
- An advanced degree or a Juris Doctorate plus one year of experience in developing, managing, or evaluating health or social service programs; or in public health, public relations, social services, health services, health regulation, or administrative services.
- Experience substitution:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full‑time work experience in any field, up to a maximum of 120 semester hours (four years).
- Experience working with housing, community‑based services, and/or support services for vulnerable populations.
- Knowledge of state and federal housing voucher programs, food assistance programs, and/or community support programs.
