Position: Administrative Coordinator 3
Location: Metairie

Position Summary

The Louisiana Motor Vehicle Commission (LMVC) seeks an Administrative Coordinator for its Licensing Department. The role involves reviewing applications, ensuring compliance with statutory mandates, investigating and analyzing licensee information, and supporting investigations.

Responsibilities
  • Examine application packets submitted for licensure and verify compliance with LMVC law, the MVSF Act, and related regulations.
  • Investigate and analyze data submitted by applicants to confirm accuracy, authenticity, statutory compliance, and completeness of information.
  • Research and analyze activities of motor vehicle and recreational product dealers to determine statutory rights of protest.
  • Issue protest notices, set up monitoring systems for protest time frames, and coordinate formal hearings if a protest is received.
  • Notify appropriate parties when no protest is received so the applicant may proceed.
  • Review documents to determine eligibility and issue licenses for all LMVC and MVSF applicants.
  • Assist the Investigations Division with special investigations, preparation of fraud reports, and preparation for administrative hearings in the denial of initial licensure.
  • Advise applicants and licensees of the status of their applications and requests for additional information.
Qualifications
  • Two years of experience in administrative services.
  • Experience substitution:
    Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience.
  • Competencies:
    • Accepting Direction – ability to accept and follow instructions from supervisors.
    • Communicating Effectively – ability to relay information correctly and appropriately.
    • Following Policies and Procedures – ability to comply with internal policies, state civil service rules, and applicable federal and state laws.
