The Certified Medical Office Assistant provides support for the provision of comprehensive medical care for a population of 13,000 students. The candidate must have a strong customer service orientation and a background in laboratory or medical office assisting. This position serves as an essential link between patients and healthcare providers, ensuring the efficient functioning of clinic operations while prioritizing patient care and safety.
This position encompasses a diverse range of responsibilities, from patient engagement to clinical support and administrative tasks.

This position is a full-time, 12-month position with some weekend and evening hours required. This position also may require participation in off-campus programs.
- Ability to perform phlebotomy.
- Skills in providing exemplary patient care and customer service including maintaining confidentiality, respect and being reliably available to patients when they seek care or advice.
- Knowledge using electronic health records and computerized medical programs.
- Knowledge in maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records.
- Ability to provide exemplary patient care and customer service including maintaining confidentiality and being reliably available to patients when they seek care or advice.
Education and/or Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1 year experience in a medical setting.
- Certified as a Registered Medical Assistant by the AMT or Certified Medical Assistant by the AAMA, AAH.
- 3 years experience in a medical setting.
- Experience with college aged-adults.
- Experience with third party billing and insurance.
- Experience in performing CLIE-waived testing.
