Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team in Iowa. The ideal candidate will assess, plan, and implement therapy interventions to help children develop or regain essential motor skills, coordination, and daily living activities. The Pediatric OT will work closely with children, families, and other healthcare professionals to create individualized treatment plans that support a child’s functional independence and overall well‑being.

Responsibilities:

Assess and evaluate children’s motor, sensory, and developmental needs.

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each child's unique needs.

Provide therapy to improve fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities.

Educate families and caregivers on strategies to support the child’s progress at home and in school settings.

Collaborate with speech therapists, physical therapists, educators, and healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting progress and treatment adjustments.

Stay current with best practices and advancements in occupational therapy.

Participate in team meetings to discuss patient care and treatment strategies.

Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.

Valid Iowa OT license or eligibility for licensure.

Experience working with children in a clinical, school, or healthcare setting preferred.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
