American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Cardiac Interventional Radiology unit, requiring 3-4 years of experience and ARRT R and BLS certifications.
Details- Work in an Interventional Radiology department
- 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday
- Self-scheduling of call shifts after the daily schedule is posted
- Call requirement of 10 shifts per month, including one weekend per month covering Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
- Monthly long weekend off provided without requesting
- Utilizes Philips and Siemens fluoroscopy and CT equipment, ultrasound, and PACS
- ARRT R and BLS certification required; ARRT VI and ACLS preferred
- License required if applicable
- 3-4 years of experience required
- Not accepting first-time travelers
- Experience with a wide range of interventional radiology procedures including angioplasty, embolization, angiography, stent placement, thrombectomy, and biopsy procedures
- Proficiency with vascular closure systems (Perclose, Star Close)
- Experience with central venous access, PICC line care and maintenance, and dialysis graft interventions
- Skilled in sterile technique, infection control, and equipment setup
- Responsibilities include equipment setup, prepping access sites, room circulating, and scrubbing to maintain a sterile field
- May be assigned to an Emergency Team requiring extended presence at the facility during emergency events
- Orientation is held five days a week
- Candidates must live more than 65 miles from the facility to be considered
- RTO must be disclosed and discussed during the interview process
