MHSD is seeking a detail-oriented Health Information Specialist to support data management, outcome and satisfaction surveys, quality monitoring, and system support. This position will work with Care Logic and Tele Sage to maintain data integrity, monitor health records, prepare reports, and provide technical and administrative support. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, analytical, and able to exercise independent judgment while supporting quality improvement initiatives and providing accurate information to leadership for informed decision-making.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Three years of experience in medical records or as a patient coder; OR
  • Two years of experience in medical records or as a patient coder plus registration with the American Health Information Management Association, as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), a Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), or a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA); OR
  • A bachelor’s degree in health information.

  • Ensures outcome and satisfaction data is collected, entered, and maintained with integrity, accuracy, completeness, and reliability.
  • Oversees survey administration processes, including data entry, tracking, and data management.
  • Collects, categorizes, and compiles survey and quality monitoring results and prepares reports for leadership.
  • Provides administrative and technical support for Care Logic, including data entry, workflow tracking, and user support.
  • Monitors, maintains, and audits health records in Care Logic to ensure data accuracy and integrity for reporting.
  • Provides system management support for Tele Sage, including user account management, access maintenance, and technical assistance.
  • Exercises independent judgment and discretion in reviewing data, applying quality standards, and identifying potential issues.
  • Participates in quality monitoring, compliance reviews, and performance improvement activities, including identifying areas of deficit and recommending improvement strategies.

Compensation: The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
