Requirements

• 2 Years ICU Experience Required
• Previous Travel Experience Required
• Weekend:
  Yes, every other weekend
• On-Call:
  No
• Required Cert: BLS, NIH, & ACLS
• Patient Experience requirements:
  Hourly rounding, bedside hand-off reporting, completion of “My Care Board” during hand-off report; use of AIDET with a focus on compassionate connected care.
• Advanced skills needed:
  Ventilator management, critical care drip knowledge, thorough and accurate assessment skills, and proficient knowledge with cardiac, neuro, and respiratory systems.

• Unit staffing description: RNs and Unit secretary. Total care is provided by RNs.
• Type of equipment:
  Ventilators, Alaris IV pumps, Balloon pumps, ventriculostomy drains, glucometers. Use of iMobile phones and technology by all staff in the hospital. PPE- includes masks, face shields, goggles, gloves, PAPR’s and hoods for any suspected COVID-19 patient.
• Floating policy:
  Nursing staff will float to other Medical-Surgical Units in the hospital as needed with priority focus on pulling to Intensive Care Units.
