Instrument Equipment Technician

Your job is more than a routine task. You serve as a critical infection control gatekeeper, ensuring surgical instrumentation and operating room equipment are properly cleaned, decontaminated, sterilized and ready for use.

• Identify surgical instrumentation, equipment, and supplies; clean, sterilize, and store them appropriately.
• Operate sterilization equipment, decontaminate, assemble and wrap instruments and supplies.
• Maintain compliance with sanitary, infection control, and safety standards, hospital policies, and quality‑assurance procedures.
• Assess equipment needs across all departments and ensure availability and working condition.
• Replace or repair instruments/equipment that are non‑functional.
• Follow standard precautions in decontamination and sterilization areas.
• Process endoscopes, scopes, and probes.

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent; OR at least 2years of experience in equipment sterilization, instrumentation or operating room aide/tech roles.
