The Role at a glance:We are looking to add a Registered Dietitian to our healthcare team in Natchitoches, LA. As a Registered Dietitian with Cura Hospitality, you will have the AMAZING opportunity to identify and assess the nutritional needs of assigned patients/residents, initiate interventions to achieve and/or maintain individuals' nutritional status, and enhance quality of life consistent with patient’s/resident’s goals. This is a hybrid role.

- Provide Nutrition Assessments for admissions, quarterly assessments, annual assessments, tube feedings, weight changes +/-4% in 1 month, wounds, and for significant change assessments (such as a hospice admission or a significant improvement in ADLs).
- Nutrition education as needed and requested by residents.
- Creation and quarterly updates on care plans for nurses/CNAs/CMAs to reference at meals and snacks to tailor to resident food preferences.
- Completion of MDS (Minimum Data Sheets) for Section K and CAAs.
- Use of the nutrition-focused physical exam to identify residents who meet criteria for malnutrition according to ASPEN Malnutrition Criteria.
- Care conference meetings with families to update them on changes with the resident.
- Collaboration with interdisciplinary team to provide resident-centered care during weekly clinical meetings.
- QAPI Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement Meetings each quarter.
- Monthly Kitchen Inspections and Meal Service Audits
Must-haves:
- Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (Prior to 2024) or related field
- Master's degree in Nutrition or related field.
- Passed a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or meets the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements for eligibility.
