Radiologic Technologist​/EJGH Emergency Room

About This Role

As a Radiologic Technologist, you will help unlock the mystery of what’s causing a patient pain or discomfort with advanced imaging technology that brings insight inside the human body. You will blend technical proficiency with empathy to provide outstanding patient care.

• Demonstrate technical skills and knowledge in the use of all x‑ray equipment, protocols, and procedures to produce high‑quality exams.
• Explain procedures to patients and families, answer questions, ease anxiety, and address concerns.
• Recognize clinical or emergent problems that may interfere with exams and take appropriate action for a positive outcome.
• Evaluate critical test findings and review anatomic details and abnormalities on scans with radiologists if needed.
• Maintain supply levels and ensure equipment readiness.
• Clean and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, immediately reporting dangerous conditions to the appropriate person.
• Input and verify all data in PACS/RADIANT.
• Maintain and advocate a safe environment for everyone and follow all quality‑control checks.
• Ensure continuity of care, efficient throughput, consistent communications, and an exceptional experience for every patient.
• Contribute to the team by assisting others when needed.

• Minimum: ARRT and CPR certification, and Louisiana Radiology Technologist license.
• Preferred: 3 to 5 years of radiology experience.
