Extension office in Iowa; location determined by office availability. Technical Focus:
Supporting the LEAP program which addresses obesity in six selected Iowa counties funded by CDC.
- Provide technical assistance to staff and partners on program planning, implementation, evaluation, and reporting.
- Coordinate trainings and collaborate with external experts to support program needs.
- Develop tools, resources, and guidance for program activities across multiple levels.
- Build and maintain partnerships to support program goals and funding opportunities.
- Support advisory groups, stakeholder engagement, and partner initiatives.
- Coordinate data collection efforts and manage data systems and tools.
- Analyze data and prepare reports, including required program and grant reporting.
- Oversee daily program operations, team coordination, and project activities.
- Manage communications, including website content, social media, and newsletters.
- Represent the program at meetings, trainings, and events.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Valid U.S. Driver’s License.
- Degree in Public Health, Nutrition, Exercise Science, or related field.
- Experience with program evaluation frameworks/tools, especially in public health or community-based settings.
- Familiarity with federal nutrition programs (e.g., SNAP, WIC) and/or Food is Medicine initiatives.
- Project coordination across multiple concurrent tasks.
- Experience developing communication materials or plans for programs, ideally in a public health or nutrition-related setting.
- Experience with data collection for federally funded projects.
Full time, Fixed-term. Proposed end date:
September 30, 2027.
