Ringgold County Hospital is seeking compassionate and dedicated nurses to join our team! We currently have an opening within the Mount Ayr Medical Clinic. The Mount Ayr Medical Clinic plays a vital role in coordinating and delivering high-quality patient care throughout the hospital. This role includes patient assessment, care planning, clinical coordination, and direct patient support. The ideal candidate is a team player who thrives in a fast-paced setting and values collaboration, efficiency, and excellent communication.

• Manage all incoming and outgoing telephone communications for the department
• Schedule patient clinics and clinic procedures
• Prepare charts and ensure all relevant clinical information is available prior to patient visits
• Update patient information and obtain vital signs as needed
• Coordinate comprehensive nursing care including pre- and post-procedure assessment, assisting with procedures, and follow-up care
• Support and educate patients and families throughout the care process
• Track patient visits and initiate billing procedures
• Maintain medical records and ensure accurate and timely documentation
• Oversee and replenish patient care supplies and equipment
• Administer nail care per physician referral and protocol
• Operate standard office equipment as required
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and unit problem-solving
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold hospital policies and standards
• Assist with orientation and education of co-workers, students, and healthcare team members
• Complete prior authorizations and carry out physician- or manager-assigned special tasks
• Flexibility to work scheduled holidays or shifts if needed

RCH is an affiliate of Mercy One. Services provided by our 16-bed critical access hospital have expanded far beyond inpatient care. We now provide same-day outpatient surgeries, infusion therapy, cardiopulmonary rehab, physical therapy, sleep studies, medical imaging, and more.

The hospital also owns and operates the Ringgold County Ambulance Service and the Mount Ayr Medical Clinic. We also regularly host specialty outpatient clinics, so our patients have access to the specialist care they need, when and where they need it.
