Minimum QualificationsPossession of a permanent Louisiana Dietitian/Nutritionist license plus two years of licensed experience in public health nutrition or dietetics in a clinical setting.

Job Duties and Other InformationJob Duties:
- Conduct nutritional assessments, determine nutrition risk, and provide individualized nutrition counseling and food package prescriptions for WIC participants.
- Deliver high-risk nutrition counseling, case management, and referrals to community resources to support participant health and wellness.
- Perform anthropometric measurements, laboratory testing, and maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with WIC policies and procedures.
- Manage exempt formula requests, maintain formula inventory, and monitor projected inventory needs to ensure timely participant services.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on nutrition and breastfeeding by providing guidance to participants, staff, and community partners.
- Lead clinic quality improvement initiatives, management evaluations, staff training, and compliance activities to ensure adherence to federal and state WIC regulations.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, train and mentor staff and dietetic interns, and support community outreach to promote WIC services and breastfeeding awareness.
