Essential Job Functionsinclude the following, but are not limited to:
- Responsible for assisting in all areas of the business office daily operations.
- Plans ahead and is well organized and manages time well.
- Effectively uses time to complete job assignments.
- Assists with answering phones in a professional and courteous manner.
- Follows HIPAA guidelines when handling billing issues.
- Accurately balances all payments and charges daily.
- Maintains high standard of work even under pressure of deadlines and frequent interruptions, remaining professional, responsive, and cooperative.
- Ability to work with integrity, trust and commitment, setting an example for others.
- Able to verify insurances correctly.
- Enters payments into billing system by effectively posting insurance payments and proficiently opens, closes and prints batches daily.
- Work unpaid claim reports (AR) for assigned clinic.
- File claims to primary and secondary insurances as needed.
- Other duties assigned by Director, Clinic Manager, COO and/or CEO.

High School Diploma and experience of 1-2 years.
Language SkillsReads and comprehends complex instructions, lengthy correspondence, and memos;
Writes simple to complex correspondence;

Adds, subtracts, multiplies, and divides in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals;
Computes rate, ratio, and percent.
Applies common sense understanding to carry out detailed, written or oral instructions;
Deals with problems involving some variables in standardized situations.
