Travel Cath Lab​/EP Technologist - Cardiac Cath Lab

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with 2+ years of specialty experience and ARRT certification for a cardiac cath lab position.

• Minimum 2 years of experience in cardiac cath lab specialty required
• ACLS, ARRT-R, and BLS certifications required
• CCI RCIS certification preferred (RCIS-only candidates cannot be accepted)
• Compact or LA license required in hand at time of submission for RN candidates
• License required if applicable for allied health candidates, with application for licensure required within 72 hours of signing if submitted with pending license
• Skills required include accurate monitoring, equipment set up, dysrhythmia interpretation, room circulator duties, and maintaining a sterile field while scrubbing
• Proficiency with isolation precautions/PPE and troubleshooting/documenting equipment malfunctions required
• Familiarity with rapid response/code teams preferred
• Driver's license copy required for consideration
• NURSYS report required for RN candidates, updated within 4 weeks of submission

• Diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab, with EP lab experience preferred
• Adult patient population
• 1:7 patient ratio
• Procedures include AICD placement, cardiac stent placement, diagnostic and left/right heart catheterizations, IABP placement/removal, PCI, temporary pacemaker placement, and thrombectomy
• Uses Epic computerized charting system
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, Monday-Friday 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• On-call requirements of 12 days per month, including 2 weekends (Fri, Sat, Sun)
• No floating to other locations
• Responsibilities include procedural support for cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures, equipment setup, and sterile field maintenance
• Candidates must be willing to work 2 of 4 designated holiday periods annually (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's), based on departmental needs and staff rotation
• Orientation held 5 days a week
• First-time travelers will be considered
• Local candidates are not accepted; candidates must live more than 65 miles from the facility based on driver's license address
• Previous permanent staff or in-house agency contractors must have a 1-year separation from the facility before returning as a travel employee
• All requested RTO must be included on the candidate profile and discussed during the interview process
• 2 Manager/Supervisor references required prior to start (Charge RNs not accepted)
