JOB SUMMARYProvides clinical and administrative support under the direction of physicians, nurse practitioners, and nursing supervisors.
JOB RELATIONSHIPSResponsible to the Rural Health Clinic Director
Positions Directly Supervised:
None
Regular Contact with all Rural Health Clinic personnel, Physicians, and the public.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSHigh School diploma or equivalent is required. Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program or experience as a Medical/Clinical Assistant is required. A Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) is preferred. Current BLS certification or completion within 90 days of employment.
Work ExperienceOne (1) year of experience as a Medical Assistant/Clinical Assistant is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required- Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR)
- Interpersonal skills and compassion
- Analyzing information, critical thinking, and problem solving
- Attention to detail
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to move about the office and facility to perform job functions and provide services as well as access various departments and patient care areas
- May remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time at a desk
- Perform manual dexterity tasks such as taking vital signs, applying dressings, utilizing medical equipment, etc.
- Frequent use of hands, wrists, and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, telephone, etc.
- Constantly position self, such as bending, stooping, etc. to maintain and access office and medical equipment and provide patient care.
