Job Description:Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervises opening & closing of Food & Nutrition Services Department; replaces absent personnel as appropriate.
- Supervises patient and cafeteria meal delivery & service.
- Ensures menus are ready for patient food service and oversees meal delivery.
- Organizes diet office.
- Ensures proper flow of information to proper personnel.
- Interacts with Clinical Dietitians regarding confidential patient information.
- Utilizes computer programs appropriate to meal service, such as CBORD, Meditech, and hand-held meal tracking devices.
- Tallies menu items for production.
- Interacts with Cooks & Tray Line staff to ensure timely meal production & delivery.
- Oversees daily tray retrieval & clean up, pantry deliveries, cafeteria operations.
- Handles cash & runs daily cash register reports.
- Enters daily tallies into software production for record keeping.
- Minimum two (2) years food service experience in a healthcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of nutrition & diet therapy as evidenced by education &/or work experience.
- Previous supervisory experience required.
- Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Word & Excel).
- Must be able to read, write English at 12th grade level.
- Nutrition Education/Supervision coursework preferred.
- Must be Serv-Safe certified within six (6) months of employment.
Pay Range: $18.81 - $33.00
