Job Summary
The Food & Beverage Supervisor supports the daily operation of the restaurant, bar, and food & beverage outlets by leading frontline team members during assigned shifts. This role is responsible for maintaining service standards, supporting guest satisfaction, ensuring operational readiness, and serving as a resource for team members throughout service.
The Food & Beverage Supervisor works closely with management to ensure smooth day-to-day operations while fostering a positive and engaging guest experience. This position serves as an entry-level leadership role and provides a development path toward Floor Manager and future management opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily food and beverage operations and assist in maintaining service excellence throughout assigned shifts.
- Lead by example through professional appearance, hospitality, teamwork, and guest engagement.
- Supervise frontline team members including servers, bartenders, hosts, food runners, and support staff as assigned.
- Assist with opening, closing, and side work procedures to ensure operational readiness.
- Monitor dining room, bar, and guest areas to ensure cleanliness, organization, and compliance with company standards.
- Address guest concerns and requests promptly, escalating issues to management when necessary.
- Communicate operational updates, guest needs, and service concerns to management.
- Assist in training and onboarding new team members.
- Reinforce service standards, policies, and procedures through ongoing coaching and support.
- Monitor employee attendance, punctuality, and adherence to workplace standards.
- Support inventory controls and communicate supply or product shortages.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, health, and alcohol service regulations.
- Participate in pre-shift meetings and communicate daily priorities to team members.
- Assist management with special events, large parties, promotions, and high-volume service periods.
- Complete assigned reports, checklists, and shift documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
