International House is a nationally recognized boutique hotel and joyful tribute to New Orleans. Beautiful design, cheerful hospitality and our unique marketing voice create a memorable guest experience and great place to work. The building was the first World Trade Center in the world. The hotel was the first boutique hotel in New Orleans. Loa was the first modern cocktail bar.
A new restaurant is coming soon. Special event programming is better than ever. And, we are adding exciting new uses in the impossibly handsome architecture immediately adjacent to us, to differentiate the hotel even more and to celebrate our 28th birthday.
As Director of Sales, you are the strategist and storyteller leading our commercial success. You find opportunities. Initiate new leads. Cultivate lasting relationships. Inspire the team. And relentlessly champion both International House’s amenities and essential character to generate Revenue.

WHAT YOU'LL DODrive Business- Develop new business across corporate, group, leisure, catering, and travel segments.
- Generate qualified leads through proactive prospecting, networking, outside sales, and relationship building.
- Manage the full sales cycle from inquiry through contract execution and event completion.
- Conduct property tours, site inspections, presentations, and client meetings.
- Prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and convert opportunities into confirmed business.
- Achieve established revenue and production goals.
- Maximize occupancy and profitability through strategic selling and market development.
- Partner with hotel leadership to identify new revenue opportunities and strengthen market positioning.
- Maintain an active sales pipeline and provide accurate forecasting and reporting.
- Collaborate with Operations, Front Office, Housekeeping, Engineering, and Food & Beverage to ensure flawless execution.
- Communicate guest expectations, group details, and special requests with precision.
- Ensure every client interaction reflects the hotel's service culture and boutique hospitality standards.
- Foster long-term relationships that encourage repeat business and brand loyalty.
- Promote a culture of professionalism, integrity, collaboration, and accountability.
- Support the General Manager with strategic initiatives and special projects.
- Represent International House Hotel within the local business and hospitality community.
- Champion a guest-first mindset in every interaction.
You are:

- Organized, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Passionate about hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business, Marketing, or equivalent experience.
- Four or more years of progressive sales experience, including at least one year in a leadership role.
- Hospitality sales experience strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of hotel sales and property management systems preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable working a flexible schedule to meet business demands.
