Orientation (Department: Orientation)

Job Title:

Orientation
• Duration: 0.5 month

• You will receive orientation to the company and local community and includes learning about our company’s customers, culture, business strategies, etc.; learn about payroll schedules and payroll tax withholding; local training area, housing options, apartment complexes and transportation options.
• You will meet key contacts and other employees; receive computer training on company systems; receive orientation to local community including cultural centers, volunteer opportunities, local sporting events, and entertainment venues.
• Orientation is scheduled to take up to one month and takes places concurrently with the first phase of training.

Job Title:

Outlets Host/Greeter
• Duration: 3.5 months

• You will learn responsibilities of the host/greeter.
• You will learn procedures for providing positive experience of guests.
• You will learn to maintain the quality standards and supervision of the outlet staff.
• You will learn to control the flow of work in the room by seating guests in station rotation while maintaining guest lists and following and enforcing check issue procedures.
• You will learn to assign opening and/or closing side duties.
• You will supervise side work and ensure completed lists of set ups of all stations before departure of service staff.
• You will learn to process reservation book, take incoming telephone calls, note reservations and special requests by guests.

Job Title:

Outlets Server
• Duration: 4 months

• You will learn U.S. service standards, opening and closing duties, and department training process in various Food and Beverage outlets.
• You will learn to use point-of-sale computer system to record and track f&b items.
• You will learn to use various upselling techniques.
• You will learn to control guest checks and secure proper payment.
• You will learn U.S. standards for setup and service of large functions.
• You will learn process for mise en place.
• You will assist with scheduling and understand process for controlling payroll and other costs.
• You will learn gratuity distribution methods.
• You will learn VIP setup and service.
• You will learn process for ensuring customer satisfaction and complaint resolution.

Job Title:

Outlets Supervisor
• Duration: 4 months

• You will learn American methodologies for supervising outlet staff.
• You will learn to monitor and supervise set up and maintenance of outlets to ensure that they meet standards.
• You will assist in the interaction with guests to ensure a positive guest experience.
• You will learn to ensure availability of staff, supplies, and equipment to ensure standards are met.
• You will learn process for hiring, supervision and coaching of outlet staff.
• You will assist with pre-shift meetings and learn training methods to ensure employee performance.
• You will learn process for scheduling team members based on business demands.
• You will assist in the completion of productivity reports and requisitions.

• You are enrolled in a post secondary ministerially recognized academic institution in the hospitality industry.
• You have a hospitality degree and at least 1 year of recent relevant work experience in the (ultra) luxury hotel industry (outside of the USA).
• You have 5 years recent relevant work experience in the (ultra) luxury hotel industry (outside the USA).
• You have shown consistent career growth over the last years.
• You have shown serious commitment to your most recent employers.
