A leading cruise line specializing in destination-focused journeys on rivers, oceans, and lakes around the world is seeking an experienced Food & Beverage Manager to join its shipboard hospitality leadership team
. Designed for experienced travelers with interests in science, history, culture, and immersive experiences, this role will lead the overall food and beverage operation while driving exceptional guest satisfaction, continuous improvement, operational excellence, and strong financial performance

The Food & Beverage Manager serves as a key shipboard leader with oversight of restaurant, culinary, and beverage operations. This individual will lead through department managers while maintaining a visible presence throughout the operation. The ideal candidate brings a balanced leadership style
–strategic and analytical, while also willing to roll up their sleeves when the operation requires an all-hands-on-deck approach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee shipboard food and beverage operations across restaurant, culinary, and beverage functions
- Provide leadership and direction to the Executive Chef, Restaurant Manager, and beverage leadership
- Drive exceptional guest satisfaction and maintain a visible presence throughout onboard venues
- Lead through department managers while supporting accountability, team development, and operational excellence
- Analyze operational performance, identify gaps, and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Monitor financial performance, inventory, cost controls, and other key F&B metrics
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, FDA, and applicable shipboard standards
- Partner with shipboard and corporate leadership to address performance opportunities and operational priorities
- Coach and develop leaders while fostering an energetic, collaborative, service-focused culture
- Step into operations when needed while maintaining appropriate leadership oversight
Ideal Background:
- 3+ years of Food & Beverage management experience in luxury hospitality, 5-star hotels/resorts, high-volume restaurants, cruise operations, or comparable hospitality environments
- Previous experience overseeing multiple areas of F&B operations
- Strong experience managing and developing other managers
- Demonstrated understanding of financials, operational analysis, gap analysis, inventory, and cost controls
- Strong guest-service orientation and ability to resolve complex service issues
- Balanced leadership style with the ability to be both strategic and hands-on
- Strong communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills
- Previous shipboard/cruise experience is preferred
- Candidates with strong luxury resort, hotel, restaurant, or other high-volume hospitality leadership experience are encouraged to apply
Compensation, Schedule & Requirements:
- Approximate annual salary: $94,900, Day rate: $365, Bonus eligible
- Shipboard rotational schedule: 10 weeks onboard / 4 weeks off
- Berthing:
Single room / private bath - Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Must have or be willing to obtain required vaccinations prior to boarding, including MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis A/B, and Tdap
- Ability to pass applicable pre-employment and shipboard screening requirements
