AboutThe Role
Four Seasons Hotel and Residences New Orleans is seeking candidates to join our dynamic In-Room Dining team as an In-Room Dining (IRD) Supervisor. Our IRD Supervisor is responsible for leading and training our IRD team to deliver an exceptional guest experience while maintaining our quality standards.
What You'll Do- Oversee daily operation of In-Room Dining and assign duties. Assist in selecting training, evaluating, leading, motivating, coaching, and disciplining all employees in the Hotel's In
- Room Dining Department to ensure that established cultural and core standards are met. - Maintain department organization and cleanliness.
- Forecast labor, process payroll, create schedules and provide daily reports.
- Answer telephone using courteous, efficient telephone etiquette while obtaining all information necessary to process the guest's order according to Four Seasons Standards, describe the selection of food & beverage menu items to guests by offering interesting, and vivid descriptions of each item's, origin, taste, and preparation methods.
- Monitor our other mobile platforms on which guests can place orders or communicate with us. Ensure prompt reply to guest enquiries, and assist them in a timely and courteous manner. Complete Glitch reports as needed.
- Ensure any special needs or requests to the kitchen are communicated using the hotel's point-of-sales system; check completed kitchen orders with the guest's original order; coordinate delivery of items to the guestroom by Room Service Servers in a timely manner to ensure proper food quality; properly and accurately close guest checks; record guest charges and gratuities.
- Oversee amenity deliveries by ensuring that all requests are received, filed, ordered from kitchen and delivered in a prompt and accurate fashion.
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience
- Prior experience in a supervisory position preferred.
- Minimum of one year of food service or equivalent experience is required.
- TIPS and Serv Safe certifications required
- Work authorization in the United States required
- Work a flexible work schedule of 40-45 hours weekly that will include mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
