• Sorting and rinsing dirty dishes, glass, tableware, and other cooking utensils and placing them in racks for the dish machine.
• Sorting and stacking clean dishes; carrying clean dishes to cook’s line and other proper storage areas; rewashing soiled dishes before delivery.
• Changing dishwater in dish machine every hour.
• Washing pots, pans, and trays by hand.
• Removing trash and garbage and bringing it to the dumpster.
• Setting up and breaking down the dishwashing area.
• Filling/emptying soak tubs with cleaning and sanitizing solutions.
• Sweeping and mopping floors.
• Assembling and disassembling the dish machine.

• Sweeping up trash around the exterior of the restaurant and garbage dumpster.
• Cleaning and rolling/unrolling mats.
• Performing inventory of cleaning solutions on hand and reporting any low items to supervisor.
• Performing general restaurant and restroom cleaning as directed.
• Wiping up any spills to ensure kitchen floors remain dry.
• Notifying Manager anytime the dish machine wash or rinse cycle falls below safety standard temperatures.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Early morning, night, weekend, and holiday availability required.

• Ability to work in a hot, hectic environment; stand, walk, bend, use hands and appliances, and lift heavy items for extended periods.
• Ability to understand and follow written and/or verbal instructions.
• Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require a high level of patience, tact, and diplomacy to defuse anger and collect accurate information.
• Ability to read English language sufficient to ascertain information from luggage tags and claim checks, to write numbers and names on claim checks and rooming lists.
• Ability to lift and/or carry packages, boxes, and luggage up to 50 lbs continuously throughout shift.
• Ability to stand, walk, and/or sit and continuously perform essential job functions.
• Sufficient manual dexterity in one hand to load and unload luggage.
• Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, and walking significant distances on property.
